About Us

Whether your job is a simple makeover or a complex architecturally designed renovation, Terrific With Tools can help.

Terrific With Tools is a fully licensed building company. The Director, Ken Doolan, started working in the building industry in 1991. By working his way from the bottom up, Ken started labouring and realised he had a passion for building. He then went on to do his carpentry qualifications and finally his Certificate IV in Building.

Ken is very proud of his work and, more importantly, his workers as they are hand-picked for their professionalism, attention to detail, and fantastic work ethic. Most of the tradies and workers have been associated with Terrific With Tools since 1998.

TWT is very conscious of maintaining its high standards of work and we know we are only as good as our last job. Hence we are proud to say Terrific With Tools has never once advertised for business - every project has been by word of mouth.

All our work is priced on a "cost plus materials" basis. To avoid any conflict over price we don't quote for fixed price work. All fixed price jobs have to include a substantial margin (30-50%) for the "unforeseen."

If Terrific With Tools were to give you a fixed price and the job goes well with few issues then you end up paying more than you should.

If there are more unforeseeable issues than the margin allows then the builder is losing money on your job.

We feel it is in everyone's best interest that you're billed for work done and materials purchased.

We bill on a weekly basis. This means that you know where your bill is and how your project to budget is progressing. Ken will also talk to you weekly to discuss the progress of work and whether we can assist you in any way.
